Things I love about break: Truck shifts
As bizarre as this sounds, I love doing 8 hour shifts starting at 3AM. I love being able to get off at 11:30 so I can have the rest of the day to kick it with my girls. There’s a certain calmness in the wee hours as I drive to Emeryville and look at all the lights. There’s a quiet in the store as we stock the shelves, one that I get for six hours in the morning versus the thirty...

On a less whiny note (or not),
I did my first actual session today to apply for the writing center. But that’s not what I want to focus on. What I do want to address is what I learned. Yeah, I got tips about how to do a better session. Yeah, I learned what to do if I accidentally zone out. But those don’t matter to me as much as this.
